I have been teaching decorative painting for approx. 15 years. I have conducted a class at the Lindfield Decorative Arts Centre during this time, plus several other classes on the north shore. I specialise in "flat brush technique", which gives a very realistic result, using acrylic paints. Most of my students have never painted before, however, after learning the various techniques involved, are very happy with their achievements. This technique can be used to paint on canvas as well as timber items, such as trays, boxes, clock faces, tissue box covers, mirrors, and many other functional wooden items, which are readily available for purchase at craft suppliers. ABSOLUTELY NO PREVIOUS PAINTING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. All you need to know will be taught in a fun, relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with no pressure. Each student progresses at their own pace.
